Joe Cooperman

+30 years experience teaching English as a Second Language in the USA, Canada, Singapore and Taiwan. Worked as a lecturer teaching university courses at the University of Calgary in Canada and National Chung Hsing University in Taichung. Degrees: Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Cultural Studies from Trent University, Canada. Masters of Science in Education from Niagara University, USA. Masters of Arts in Communications Studies from the University of Calgary, Canada.

While teaching ESL classes in Taiwan, my goal has always been to help facilitate communicative confidence for all of my students. I treat confidence-building as an important skill to be developed and work with each of my students to help them feel less anxious and more motivated as individual learners. I begin each lesson with an instructional objective in mind and by actively engaging students throughout my time with them. I will continuously evaluate student performance on an ongoing basis and will modify my instructional approaches as necessary. I feel that it is important to effectively engage students and help inspire a positive attitude for learning English that will grow throughout their entire career and beyond. It will be my pleasure to teach you.
